# Navigating to Destinations in the Document Viewer

Vault supports viewing and navigating destinations within the document viewer. Destinations allow users to jump and link to specific locations within a document. In viewable renditions, Vault displays destinations that were manually created in PDF source files. Note that you can only create destinations in Adobe Acrobat PDFs.

## How to Navigate Destinations

Destinations are accessible via the **Show Destinations** button in the toolbar. The button opens the **Destinations** panel. Clicking on the destination name navigates you to its location in the document.

You can also search within a document's destinations. Searching is case sensitive, and Vault only searches the first 144 characters of the destination name.
