# Publications Overview

Veeva Publications is an application within the Veeva Medical suite designed to streamline the planning, authoring, review, approval, and submission of scientific literature to medical journals and congresses.

## Features

Veeva Publications provides the following benefits for publication managers and other project contributors to create and manage _Publication Plans_ at the project level:

  * A view of all plan components, including publications, journal and congress targets and target events, and important plan deliverables.
  * Setting up and managing individual publication projects.
  * Initiating and tracking content development for individual publications like abstracts, manuscripts, and posters or presentations.
  * Initiating and tracking the review and approval processes for all key deliverables, such as document drafts, review cycles, final approvals, submissions deadlines, and revision tracking for each publication.
  * Aligning publications to submission targets for medical journals and congresses.
  * Onboarding and managing internal and external project contributors.
