# Configuring the Related ISI and Related PI Relationships

Depending on your business practices, you may need to associate an ISI (Important Safety Information) document or a PI (Prescribing Information) document with another document.

While Vault includes the _Related ISI_ and _Related PI_ relationship types on the _Base_ document by default, you may need to activate these relationships and add them to the _Base_ document.

To activate the relationships in your PromoMats Vault:
  1. Navigate to **Admin > Settings > Application Settings > PromoMats Settings**.
  2. Click **Edit**.
  3. Select the **Activate the standard Related ISI Relationship** checkbox.
  4. Select the **Activate the standard Related PI Relationship** checkbox.
  5. Click **Save**.

To activate the relationships in your MedComms Vault:
  1. Navigate to **Admin > Settings > Application Settings > MedComms Settings**.
  2. Click **Edit**.
  3. Select the **Activate the standard Related ISI Relationship** checkbox.
  4. Select the **Activate the standard Related PI Relationship** checkbox.
  5. Click **Save**.

After you activate the relationships, you can [configure the _Base_ document or applicable document types](/en/lr/618/#EditingDocTypes) and add the relationships.

## Limitations

The _Related ISI_ and _Related PI_ relationship types allow a single target document.
