The Business Admin and Configuration tabs are designed for easy navigation and quick access to your Vault components and object records.

From Admin > Business Admin, you can manage object records, templates, and picklists.

Component Selector

The Component selector allows you to open different pages within Business Admin. You can choose from the drop-down list, type into the selector’s type-ahead search to filter the list, or click the binoculars icon to open a search dialog.

Within the Component selector, you can access the:

  • Object record list pages for any object with the Display in Business Admin setting
  • Document & Binder Templates page
  • Formatted Outputs page
  • Overlay Templates page
  • Signature & Cover Page Templates page
  • All Picklists page, which shows every picklist in the Vault
  • Management pages for each picklist

When you are viewing a page in Business Admin, you can use the primary search bar to search the page contents.

Standard & Saved Views

Within object list pages, you can use the same standard and saved view functionality that’s available in document and object tabs. Saved views allow you to save applied searches and filters and return to them easily. Learn more in Using Custom Views. If the object you’re managing in Business Admin has a custom tab, the views you save in Business Admin will not be accessible through the custom tab, and vice versa.

Filters

Filters allow you to limit the list of object records. Filters in Business Admin work like they do on document and object tabs. For details, see Filtering on Fields & Roles.

The landing page at Admin > Configuration shows all configurable Platform components as well as components added by your applications.

All of the components on the landing page can also be accessed from the Components selector. Click the selector to select a component from the drop-down list. You can also use the selector to search for a component by name.

Recently Used

The Recently Used list shows the last five (5) component configuration pages you’ve visited, with the most recent at the top. Visiting a configuration page updates the Recently Used list automatically.

Favorites

The Favorites list shows any components that you’ve favorited for easier access. You can add or remove a component from the Favorites list by clicking the star icon next to its name on the landing page or on the component’s configuration page. You can also hover over a component in the Favorites list and click the star icon to remove it.
